Megabros Nigeria Limited

Megabros is a rapidly growing agriculture, food and technical services (AgriFood) start-up company based in Sapele, Delta State. It is one of the leading brands in research, inclusive agriculture development projects, food production, farm management, bio-security and disease management. Megabros began in 2017, when its founders, started a farm to verify the validity of popular farming best-practices, and determine the current profitability and scalability of several types of farming common in Delta State, Nigeria. The pilot test was largely successful and since its conclusion in June 2017 Megabros has been producing vegetables, chickens, cat fish, eggs and pork meat for local consumption.

Although Megabros was initially aimed at research and development, farm produce has been well received in Sapele. In line with the research and development values of its founders, Megabros has expanded its operations to include applied research in poultry feed formulation, community supported agriculture farming (CSA) and the role of sustainable agriculture in building resilient food systems and communities. Megabros now operates in 3 locations in Sapele and employs 15 people who are residents of Sapele. The company sells more than 15 tonnes of food per annum and consults for farmers and businessmen home and abroad. We aim to expand our services throughout the entire region, and be recognised as the biggest drivers of agricultural development in the Niger Delta.

We have built our business on the fundamental principle that to have long-term success, we not only have to comply with all applicable legal requirements and ensure that all our activities are sustainable, but additionally we have to create significant value for society. While the principles are firmly established, they also continue to evolve and adapt to a changing world.
